2018-2019 Backbone Press Chapbook Competition

In this current American Era of fear, fracturing, and tribalism our publications have slanted toward a truth we believe most people hold; that racism and hatred are the gravest threat to man. We have published marginalized authors who are African-American, Asian, Muslim, LBGTQ, Jewish, Latino, and first-generation immigrants. We are ready to continue advancing these voices and narratives to change conversations that suggest diverse individuals are lesser or unworthy of equal rights. Thus, we are please to launch our 2018-19 Chapbook Competition.

Poets of all levels are encouraged to submit. Simultaneous submissions are welcomed but, please notify us if accepted elsewhere. Manuscripts are read blind. Please omit any contact information in your submission. Entries must consist of 18-30 pages. Include acknowledgments page and entry fee of $15.00. Submit via our submission form.
